Spectacular monumental antique solid oak fireplace conversion, circa 1850 France or Germany

This unique fireplace and overmantel has highly detailed carvings and fine decorative elements such as the 2 large and imposant grotesque faces, 2 putti's holding a cartouche with the initials EJ in the centre and more carved ornaments such as lions, scrolls, fruits, flowers, foliage and on the base impressive claw feet

All made by a great sculptor/artisan of that era with great craftsmanship and will make a lasting impression on any visitor
