Image Dimensions: 57 x 41 cm Bram Bogart (1921 – 2012) was a Dutch painter and artist associated with the COBRA group. After World War II, he moved to Paris, where he was among the founders of Informal Art. He experimented with Cubism and figurative drawing, depicting flowers, still-lifes and self-portraits. In the 1950s, he worked with impasto. In 1961, he went to Belgium and, in 1969, he became a Belgian citizen. In 1971, he represented Belgium at the Venice Biennal.
