About This Piece

Vintage Design

Very elegant large antique basket ballroom chandelier of high quality in gilt cast bronze and brass with crystal cut beads

Circa 1890-1900 in the Louis XVI style with Empire influences, probably French or Dutch

with extra long original chain and ceiling piece (extra 70 cm, see photos)

This beautiful sac-a-perle model chandelier has on the outside 6 beautiful torch-formed light arms with opaline glass caps in the shape of flames, on the inside and 3 light points in the top and 3 light points below in the basket

All this creates a beautiful play of light which is reflected by the hundreds of small facet cut round crystal beads. Gilded bronze interior, ring and richly decorated with bronze garlands, acanthus leaves, flowers and grape vines.

This chandelier can be partially disassembled into parts, which shows the high quality of this chandelier.

Very nicely made with great attention to detail.
