Vintage Design

An iridescent Eosin green glaze pitcher depicting two reliefs of maidens gathering sticks. One maiden crouching, while the other is reaching for the handle formed as a bunch of sticks. Zsolnay marked on the base.

The most coveted Zsolnay items feature the famous luminescent glaze called Eosin. The name refers to the Greek goddess of dawn, Eos. The secret Eosin technique, developed by Vilmos Zsolnay, creates unique iridescent metallic colors on each piece. Each Eosin object is unique and unrepeatable.
