Large covered pot, Art Deco sugar bowl / candy dish: faceted cylindrical body in earthenware, frieze with colorful stylized geometric decoration, made with a stencil; lid & large handle in chrome-plated metal (height with handle 16 cm)
GM stamp surrounding a perched owl, made in Czechoslowakia: GM = initials of Gebrüder Mehner, brand associated with the town of Jilovè, whose emblem is an owl perched on a branch; the ceramic & metal factory (always this mixture of materials) of the Mehner brothers was founded in 1887, estimated end of 1945
