Has a sensor. Marcel Wanders grew up in Boxtel, the Netherlands, and graduated with honors from the School of the Arts in Arnhem in 1988.

He has taught at various design academies in the Netherlands and abroad.

Several of Marcel Wanders' projects have been selected for the world's most important design collections and exhibitions, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and San Francisco.

Wanders won the Rotterdam Design Prize (public award) for the Knotted Chair, and has received several other awards including the George Nelson Award (Interiors magazine) and Alterpoint Design Award 2000.
