Vintage Design

1940’s Bentwood Debrecen Moustache Back Dining Chairs – Pair. It is hard to be precise about the origin of these chairs as little history is known, but what we do know is at the beginning of the 20th Century two producers existed J&J Kohn and Mundus. Both produced chairs in various factories throughout the Austro Hungarian empire. These chairs are an early model probably 1940’s from Debrecen, we know it is a Mundus model because we have seen marked examples. Either way, beautiful surviving and fascinating chairs. All our chairs pass through our own workshop where they are gently serviced and sensitively restored, we only sell vintage of excellent quality. Seat height 47cm.
