Sylvia Stave (1908-1994)

Sylvia Stave was the artistic director of C.G. Hallberg from 1931-1939. Her production was focused on minimalist, material-exclusive utensils in avant-garde design and attracted attention in Sweden as well as internationally. At C.G. Hallberg, she designed utensils in a functionalist, geometric and sparsely decorated style with clear inspiration from the Bauhaus. With objects intended for an exclusive, form-conscious audience, she translated the industrial style of functionalism into a craft elegance.

This bonbonnière is an excellent example of Stave's fine tuned sense of proportions, simplicity and elegance.

Delivery Details
