Wall plaque in glazed stoneware with botanical motif

Charming vintage wall relief by Danish artist Noomi Backhausen, produced by Søholm Stentøj on the island of Bornholm in the 1960s.
Made in textured chamotte stoneware with hand-applied glazes in earthy browns and vibrant turquoise. The raised, organic motif resembles a stylised tree form with deep blue glaze pools – a hallmark of Backhausen’s tactile and expressive ceramic language.

A fine example of Danish mid-century ceramic artistry.
