Model 560 was created 1920. WW - Wiener Werkstätte / Vienna Workshop: The 'Wiener Werkstätte GmbH' was a production association of visual artists. Founding members in 1903 were Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser and the industrialist Fritz Waerndorfer, who made a name for himself as an art patron. On September 2, 1905, WW signed Carl Otto Czeschka as another designer. The role model was the British 'Arts and Crafts Movement'. The aim of the workshop was to renew the concept of art in the field of arts and crafts. Here she worked with the Vienna Secession and the Vienna School of Applied Arts. Everyday objects as well as jewelry and furniture were produced. The expressive ceramics of the Wiener Werkstätte were produced mainly between 1917 and 1930 in the organisation’s own artists’ workshops. Leading female artists of this era included Vally Wieselthier, Gudrun Baudisch and Susi Singer. They broke with traditional conventions and created vibrant, one-of-a-kind pieces in rich colours. The works often feature uneven, hand-formed and dynamic lines rather than smooth, austere geometry; colourful, glossy or matt finishes make each piece a special, one-of-a-kind creation. Popular motifs included figures of people and animals, as well as humorous scenes from everyday life.
