Paulo Peña and Paulina Hassey founded ADN Galeria in 2005 in Mexico City’s Colonia Roma area. The gallery specializes in historical Mexican modernist pieces as well as contemporary designs. Its curators look for works made in timeless materials (such as wood, bronze, sisal, paper, and wool) that combine world-class craftsmanship with innovative techniques. The gallery’s design roster includes historic pieces by the likes of Luis Barragán, Clara Porset, Arturo Pani, William Spratling, Don Shoemaker, Mathías Goeritz, and Domus, along with contemporary works by designers such as Trine Ellitsgaard, Gustavo Pérez, Pedro Friedeberg, and Sebastian Lara.
ADN Galeria regularly presents exhibitions and events, and participates in design fairs in both Mexico and the United States. Clients range from private collectors to museums, architects, and interior designers. In 2009, ADN relocated to a larger space in Mexico City’s Polanco area.
