Born in 1984 in Bonn, Germany, designer Jennifer Dengler studied product design at FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences between 2005 and 2010. From 2008 to 2009, she studied industrial design at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. From 2010 to 2012, she studied product design and applied arts at Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle, graduating with a Master’s degree.
Notable works so far include Out of the Box (2011), a series of jewelry boxes made of concrete and porcelain that investigates the history, associations, and functions surrounding small-scale, personal containers. This project arose out of Dengler’s graduation thesis, and earned her the 2012 Culturtraeger Designpreis.
Dengler lives and works in Pforzheim, Germany.
