Designer Corinne van Havre was born in Antwerp, Belgium in 1974. She studied interior design at the College of Advertising & Design (CAD) in Brussels, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 1996. After school, in 1998, she moved to London and attended training courses in art history at the Sotheby’s Institute. She returned to Brussels in 1999, where she worked in Sotheby’s Modern and Contemporary Art department until 2001.

In 2003, van Havre launched a line of jewelry called LaLoul out of Antwerp. Her jewelry designs are inspired by a variety of disciplines, including art, architecture, fashion, and craft. In 2013, she expanded the brand to include lighting, mobiles, and objets d’art for the home. LaLoul’s products call to mind the forms and elegance of van Havre’s jewelry designs. Every LaLoul piece is unique and handmade in collaboration with skilled European craftsmen.
