The idea of the''Egg Vessels” was to create “Conversation piece” with interactive aspect. Designed with simplicity in mind from porcelain and inspired by the timeless “egg” shape. ''Milky way'' is the second edition of ''Egg Vessels''. Art pieces are inspired by space and stellar constellations and presented in abstract decorative way as decor.

Porcelain piece is hand-painted in carat gold and platina. Design of the vessels is inspired by simple ''egg like'' shape which is a symbol of eternal life. Divided form into 2 separate objects is creating ''mobile decoration''. Piece can be assembled into many different variations.

Each Vessel is divided into two separate pieces and allowing the possibilities of:

”Mobile decoration”: changing the decor by turning bottom or a top part of the object.

”Mix and match”: choosing between different collections and easy assemble of separate pieces.
”Art piece with an use”: the object can be disassembled to a bowl or container.

“Simple design”: compact design ergonomic in transportation, easy access to the inside of the vessel, light self carrying.

“Egg Vessels” are made in four different sizes and consist of ten various collections. Each collection has a story and it is hand-painted in gold.

Exhibited at British Ceramics Biennial UK in 2019 and Porzellanikon Museum in Germany, condition perfect.

Delivery Details

Delivery will be completed by a parcel service such as UPS, DHL, or FedEx.
You will receive a tracking number to monitor the status of your shipment.
Delivery will take place between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
A wooden crate may be used for intercontinental shipments for maximum protection.
Item will be left in its packaging after delivery.
A signature will be required upon delivery.

About the Designer

Maria Joanna Juchnowska

Maria Joanna Juchnowska is an artist, designer, curator, founder, and owner of Mari JJ Design, which launched in 2010 in Stockholm but is now based in Oslo.  She regularly cooperates with luxury brands in Europe, Asia, and the US, such as Meissen in Germany and Franz Collection in China and Taiwan. Her recent activities include participation in Dezeen's Virtual Design Week 2020, Fourisalone 2020, Ventura Dubai, Wanted Design New York, Talente International Craft Fair Munich, Der Berliner Salon Vogue Salon with Meissen, International Jingdezhen Porcelain Fair with Franz Collection, British Ceramics Biennial, Munich Creative Business Week, and more. Her many recognitions include laureate and finalist of Future Lights, the European competition organized by Ceramics and Its Dimensions, the Artzept International Design Award Milan, and second stage finalist at Red Dot Awards 2020. Juchnowska is a member of the IAC International Academy of Ceramics, Norske Kunsthåndverkere, Norske Billedkunstnere, and Artaxis International Ceramic Artist Association

Inspired by Scandinavian minimalism and sophisticated European art and culture, the atelier's works are one-of-a-kinds, handcrafted from start to finish.
