Vintage Design

Very rare vintage "Flamingo" table lamp by Franz Hagenauer for Werkstätte Hagenauer, Austria, 1940s.

Hagenauer constructed an innovative system of three tubes, which can each be swiveled around their own axis. The lamp's shape, and thus the beam of light can be changed in every direction. The tubes are made of brass, the stand is cast iron and the lamp shade is enameled. The lamp is not signed, but is well documented and attributed to Franz Hagenauer. This is a masterpiece for midcentury enthusiasts and collectors in very good original condition, with minor patina and minor signs of wear consistent with age and use (some flakes on the inside of the lamp shade). The plug is an original European plug (220 V).
