This antique French style card table is a really good size when open & makes a very decorative side table when closed. It also has a concealed long drawer which pulls out from one side. It’s so concealed that we forgot to photograph it, but we will try to add to the images later.
It’s made up of many different woods, like kingwood, rosewood, satinwood, walnut & mahogany. There’s floral marquetry all over, with more exotic woods involved. The top has gilt metal edgings & there are four corner mounts which look they are steel. There are more gilt mounts on the canted corners & on the feet.
I would date this table to around the 1950s period & it’s in good condition throughout, including the baize playing surface.
