French Louis XV Style Gilt Bronze Cherub Wall Sconces, 1930, Set of 2

A pair of French wall sconces dating to circa 1930, executed in the Louis XV / Rococo Revival style. Each piece features a finely cast cherub figure supporting two scrolling candle arms, richly decorated with acanthus and foliate motifs.
The sconces are crafted in heavy gilt metal, likely bronze, with a substantial weight and finely detailed casting. The surface displays a warm, naturally aged patina, enhancing the sculptural quality and depth of the ornament.
Reflecting the continued popularity of 18th-century French decorative forms in the early 20th century, these pieces combine Rococo elegance with solid craftsmanship.
The sconces retain remnants of old internal wiring and are sold as decorative objects. Professional rewiring is required prior to installation.
