A wonderful and seldom seen set of 6 solid rosewood Hamilton dining chairs designed by Robert Heritage for Archie Shine c.1957. The set features 6 standard dining chairs and are offered to market fully refinished in fine Bouclé Bute Upholstery, selected specifically as it’s 100% water proof and easy to clean.

As seen the restored rosewood on these examples is wonderful featuring a rich mixture of colour (from blacks, browns and chocolate orange), vivid grain and depth that makes rosewood such a prized timber.

Still hugely under-rated these chairs are all about very subtle angles and shapes - the result is one of the most distinctive chair designs of the period and one of Heritages most sophisticated and elegant designs.
