Rectangular cart model C7 with a black painted steel rod frame, removable shelves in a light brown steel sheet designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno Varedo, 1960s Literature: P. Architect, designer, entrepreneur, Skira, Milan 2018, p. 596 In 1953, he founded the Tecno company, specialized in technology and innovation which was the best way to him to produce his own creations. The D70 sofa bed (1954), the P32 swivel chair (1956) and the P40 lounge chair (1954) are very comfortable and aesthetic. Osvaldo Borsani was born in 1911 in Italy. He studied architecture at the Polytechnic Institute of Milan until 1937. During his studies, he won the silver medal with the Casa Minima project for the Milan Triennial. Then, he worked with his father Gaetano Borsani for the familial company. In 1953, he decided to found the Tecno company with his twin brother Fulgenzio and met with great success thanks to impressive technical. The company also produced pieces of furniture for great names of Italian design including Gio Ponti and Mario Bellini. Borsani is also one of the founder of the famous review of design Ottagno.
