This impressive ‘Gluon’ swivel chair has a circular steel base with the center cut out. The barrel supporting the seat rises from here and is made of silver tinted polyurethane with blue leather trim. The Gluon modular chair was conceived as an object to appeal to the masses that could adapt to a wide variety of settings. The void in the center acts as an air cushion to make it comfortable to sit on; the hole wasn’t just about styling, but the function of the chair. Comes with the typical Marc Newson forms, futuristic and coming from another world.
