Jockey N ° 9 On Horseback is an original artwork realized by Serge Mendjisky in the 1970s. Mixed colored lithograph. Good conditions except for some foxings on the left side. On the left side some notes printed. This beautiful composition represents a sports scene with a jockey on horseback in a park and some men next to him. Serge Mendjisky (1929-2017) was born in 1929 in Paris. Like his father, Maurice Mendjisky was a painter of the ''School of Paris'', Serge was introduced to the art world very early on. After his studies at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, he became an established artist, exhibiting his paintings in Europe, Japan and the United States. Even though he was a painter, he constantly used photography as preliminary studies for his paintings.
