Vintage Design

This beautiful 1:1 Vidimus design was created by the artist Jos van Dormolen in 1947. With this work you will have a unique and highly decorative item in your home. Jos van Dormolen first made a small design of the window, a so-called 'vidimus' and presented it to the client. After modification and approval, this design was made full size: a so-called 'cardboard'. The final stained glass windows are beautifully framed by white figure glass set in playful lead lines and each scene is colorfully stained. Jos (Joseph Camillus) van Dormolen (*Rotterdam 1926-† 2011) received his training at the Academy of Visual Arts in Rotterdam. He is a versatile and monumental artist. He is not only a glazier and glass painter, but also a sculptor, muralist and ceramist. One of his first assignments was a ceramic wall relief for a school in Gorinchem. Later he also devoted himself to sculpture. His bronze sculptures can be seen in Asperen and Heukelum, among other places. Dimensions: Height: 157 cm Width: 63 cm

A wooden crate may be used for intercontinental shipments for maximum protection.
Item will be left in its packaging after delivery.
