About This Piece

Vintage Design

This large ceramic dish is a production of potter Alain Maunier in Vallauris. It is a touching piece, sophisticated and rustic at the same time. The background is decorated with two large stylized plant motifs, characteristic of the ceramist, and framed by a green border. Serving dish, centerpiece decoration or storage compartment, it is a moving piece inspired by folk art.

The ceramic is a nice size, nicely decorated. It is signed A. Maunier Vallauris at its base. It is in good condition, with very slight traces of use.
