Late 19th Century Ebony Colored Chair Inlaid with Pogliani Relief Decorations

Inlaid chair made of ebony stained wood with backrest framed by twisted columns and decorations also in relief. The excellent quality with which it was made recalls the production of the Milanese cabinetmaker Ferdinando Pogliani. The chair has symbols engraved on the underside of the seat which presumably identify its origin: these are fire-imprinted crowned lily decorations.
