Elegant French Louis XVI Style Giltwood Mirror, 19th Century.

A refined 19th-century French Louis XVI style mirror with a rectangular giltwood frame, decorated with gesso with a geometric pattern and finished in gold leaf. The inner edge is adorned with classic pearl beading, adding a touch of neoclassical elegance. Dating from around 1880, the mirror retains its original glass, which has developed a beautiful foxed patina over time.

The frame is in solid, healthy condition and shows a warm, timeworn finish that adds to its charm. Timeless in style yet surprisingly contemporary in look, this piece makes a striking decorative accent in both modern and traditional interiors. It can be displayed vertically or horizontally, depending on your space.

Please note: The stripe visible in the glass is from the board used during photography—it is not part of the mirror glass!
