Michael Fell 1939 - ? Michael Anthony Fell, was born at Heydon Park Road, Great Dunmow, Essex on 31 January 1939, son of [Sir] Anthony Fell (1914-1998), then a technical plastics representative, and his wife Dorothy J. Anne née Warwick (born 18 June 1913), who had married at Epping, Essex the previous year, his father who was later Member for Great Yarmouth 1951-1966 and 1970-1983, was knighted on 9 February 1982. Educated at St George's, Weybridge and studied at St Martin's School of Art and the City & Guilds School of Art, Kensington, London, studying painting and printmaking under a travelling bursary in Europe. He taught at City & Guilds School finally was head of foundation studies 1985-1996. A Fellow of the Society of Designer Craftsmen and an Honorary Member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers. Michael has exhibitions at Jordan Galleries, London; The Cathedral Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk; Wice Gallery, Paris; Abbey de Flaran Gers, France; Halesworth Gallery, Suffolk and, from time to time, at Royal Academy, also showing at the home of Arnaud and Anne Guinard in S.W. France, and elsewhere. He had solo exhibitions at Grosvenor Gallery 1996 and another at Chappel Galleries, Essex in 1999 and, in 2001, a show at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich.
