Vintage, mid-century pendant light from the 60s/70s.
This very cool piece, has a shade with 8, individual, folded, textured, tube-shaped pieces made of acrylic glass, that depending on the angle one views it, look like icicles, or crystalized, lotus flower petals with a glistening effect. The neck has a brushed-metal colored finish.
The piece is in overall, good, original and vintage condition. There are some marks and signs of age and previous usage commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure. Some faded areas on the neck and inside of the metal structure (see photos.) Signs of age on some small areas of the outer edging, but nothing obvious to the naked eye, as the texture and design of the material itself, looks like ice crystals. No chips, dents or missing pieces (see photos.) Some old marks of age and use on the cord and plastic ceiling mount (see photo.)
The light functions with an E27-type, screw-in light bulb (not included), and has a clip/tiny washer, that slides into position on the cord, as well as an adjustable plastic hook (see photo), to enable one to adjust the length/height of the cord, when mounting onto the ceiling.
Please note: A 60 watt light bulb was used when photographing this lamp, but it will also look great with a 40 watt bulb, if one wishes to
create a warmer, cozier, ambiance.
