About This Piece

Vintage Design

A beautiful and distinctive Danish floor lamp from the 1960s, inspired by the iconic “Bidsprinkhaan” (Praying Mantis) design associated with the elegant Rispal style.

What immediately catches the eye is the refined combination of a slender, sculptural wooden frame and the beautiful hanging milk glass globe, which gives the lamp a warm and atmospheric glow. The cable has been thoughtfully integrated into the light wood structure, preserving the clean lines and elegant silhouette of the design.

The lamp has all the hallmarks of authentic mid-century Scandinavian design: natural materials, functional construction and a timeless, understated aesthetic. It is a wonderful statement piece for a living room, reading corner, bedroom or stylish interior where original vintage design is appreciated.

A rare and characterful lamp with plenty of presence, yet never overwhelming. Perfect for lovers of Danish design, mid-century interiors and beautifully crafted vintage lighting.
