History.

The history of this glass factory is old. The former glass factory was located in the heart of the Swedish glass kingdom was formed in 1886. A small iron mill was built here in the middle of the 19th century, which was closed down after about 30 years. In 1886, a glass factory was built on the same site. The glass mill was small, had varied production and the mill produced colored soda glass, semi- and full crystal glass. In the mid-1900s they started to produce art glass and hired some of their most well-known artist, Edvin Ollers (1931-32) and Per-Olof Ström (ca 1967-72). Ström’s work was focusing on functionalism as well as making sure that his items would hold a high artistic level and world class standard.
