Vintage Design

This multi-purpose cabinet is an original from the 1950s. It belongs to the first generation of the rare furniture series 602 of the German furniture workshops Hellerau. Special features are the mature processing, the use of high -quality materials in connection with a clear formal language.

The surfaces are refined with oak veneer. Ash was used in the interior. A key is part of the equipment.

Behind two swivel doors is storage space, which is divided by three shelves made of wood. The shelf board at the bottom is fixed. The upper two are flexible. The distances between the fitters are from bottom to top: 15, 34, 25 and 21 cm.

Little history:
This cabinet from the 602 furniture series saw the light of day in October 1959. The producer was the German furniture workshops Hellerau.

The architect and furniture designer Franz Ehrlich (Bauhaus student under Gropius) presented this type series 602 for the first time in 1957 for the Leipzig spring mass. The furniture until 1959 is characterized by a higher quality than the successors.
