Mid-Century Scandinavian Modern Industrial Office Swivel Chair from Verkstads AB Lindqvist, 1960s

This industrial, swivel office chair was manufactured by the Swedish manufacturer Verkstads AB Lindqvist Motala during the 1960s. It features a simple, mid-century Scandinavian design. The combination of metal, classic upholstery, and wood in its raw shade creates a cohesive, craftsmanlike composition. Well-profiled wooden armrests break the coldness of the metal elements and lend a touch of warmth to the overall design.

The seat and backrest create a compact, streamlined silhouette. They are upholstered in a timeless, melange gray fabric. This shade perfectly complements the patina on the metal leg. The overall design impresses with its striking proportions, where the geometric minimalism of its office origins seamlessly blends with the simplicity of its form. Rather than dominating the space, the chair draws the eye as a distinctive accent, conveying nostalgia and the authentic spirit of a bygone era.

It's an excellent choice for a modern office, home office, or as an industrial accent in a contemporary living room.

The original manufacturer's label is located under the seat. The signature is also stamped on the metal leg.
