Model Ry20 Sideboard in Teak and Rattan by Hans J. Wegner for Ry Mobler, 1950s

An exceptional teak double sideboard designed by Hans J. Wegner in the 1950s and expertly crafted by Ry Møbler, one of Denmark's most respected cabinetmakers. This iconic piece is a superb example of Mid-Century Modern Danish design, combining timeless aesthetics with outstanding craftsmanship and everyday functionality.

What makes this sideboard particularly special is its rare configuration with woven rattan (cane) sliding doors. This highly sought-after version is far less common than the standard teak-fronted models, adding a unique sense of warmth, texture, and exclusivity to an already iconic design.

Beautifully constructed in warm teak, the sideboard features Wegner's signature attention to detail, including elegant sculpted handles, six spacious drawers, and two woven rattan sliding doors that reveal generous storage with adjustable shelves. Its clean lines, natural materials, and refined proportions make it a striking addition to any living room, dining room, office, or interior inspired by Scandinavian design.

The sideboard retains its original Ry Møbler maker's mark, confirming its authenticity and provenance.

Whether you're a collector of vintage Danish furniture, a lover of Mid-Century Modern interiors, or searching for an authentic Hans J. Wegner sideboard, this rare rattan-front edition represents the very best of Danish craftsmanship and enduring design.
