About This Piece

Vintage Design

Ribes's work explores the boundary between utilitarian objects and autonomous forms. Through manual glassblowing, the material becomes gesture and trace, recording the time and action that generated it.
Each piece is unique by the nature of the process: there is no seriality, but a continuity of language. The function is present, but secondary to the physical presence of the work in space.
This work is part of contemporary research on glass as an artistic medium, freed from decorative tradition and oriented towards a sculptural interpretation.

Beautiful gray glass pendant lamp produced in Murano by masters with the talented hand of the bulicose glass so beloved by Carlo Scarpa. E27 lamp holder. Recommended bulb with 2700 degrees Kelvin. Ideal lamp for bed and breakfasts. Perfect in a kitchen or living room.
