This oil painting comes from the estate of a Berlin artist, Rose Kurtzke, born in 1919. Inscribed APOTHEOSE by the artist herself from the back at the top, and Rose Kurtzke 1958 at the bottom. Rose Kurtzke, born in 1919, lived in Berlin and was a painter, calligrapher and costume designer. Her works were exhibited at the "Great Berlin Art Exhibition" in 1958, 1959 and 1961. She also worked as a book illustrator in the children's book sector. The work offered here is painted with a broad stroke, freely and entirely in the style of her time. The picture shows neither Restorations or repainting and is in the original, period-typical strip frame.
