About This Piece

Very beautiful painting, seascape, landscape of cliffs, oil on old wood, signed Ruben lower left - Paul RUBEN (1882-1955) - framed in a very beautiful frame with wide light raw wood strips with grooves, chic. Magnificent colors enhanced with turquoise, very luminous painting. Single panel 46x33cm landscape format, with frame 55x43cm total, thickness 4cm. Very good general condition, however the painting has fine oil cracks on the entire surface due to woodworking in particular, a few small stains at the top left in particular, wood visible in certain areas, wear or origin, a small, very discreet hole at the top in the center probably old fastener, very clean frame, light woodworking in the corners, large fastening hook at the back. Harmonious whole. It may be one of the artist's first creations, the P in the signature not being present, perhaps 1920s-1930s. Approximately 1,500-2kg.
