About This Piece

Oil on canvas. Signature, date and location Milan at the bottom left. The young woman portrayed is very elegant in her light blue satin dress embellished with delicate lace, she sits on an elegant armchair; smiling, she looks at the viewer with intensity, exhibiting her beauty. There is an uncertain identification of the woman in Clementina Marchetti Grillo, a young noblewoman from Lecco, of whom there is another portrait by Luchini himself. The work is presented in a gilded frame from the second half of the '800, with shortcomings (to be restored).
