East meets West in Bokja, the Beirut-based atelier that has played a pivotal role in reviving the contemporary Lebanese craft scene. Bokja’s work has captured international attention by mixing classic midcentury forms with exuberant patchwork upholstery made from vintage and new Middle Eastern textiles.
Hoda Baroudi and Maria Hibri launched Bokja in 2000. Since then, the dynamic duo has built a successful international brand with a celebrity following, including the likes of Christian Louboutin, Kate Hudson, Sandra Bullock, and Julia Roberts, to name but a few.
