The RR 126 model is a radio designed by the brothers Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Achille Castiglioni in 1964, commissioned and subsequently produced by the Italian Briionvega electronics company. It was born as a stereo-physical equipment, which has become an icon of pop design from the 1960s. Specimens of this radio are exhibited at the Milan Triennale, at the Moma in New York.
The structure is made up of lacquered plywood wraps and a perspex cap that protects the turntable.
The technical characteristics include as a source the Am and FM radio with the large speech stairs of the front, a dual turntable and an audio entrance on the back.
The rectangular control panel is flanked by a pair of speakers speakers, at the top of the control there is a "dual" turntable with removable plastic cover.
The case is mounted on an aluminum pedestal, with four adjustable wheels.
The system of elements can be assembled in three different ways: the speakers can be positioned at the top, hooked to the sides or separated from the central unit.
