About This Piece

Born in 1994, Samuel Bloch lives and works in Paris, France

Graduating in graphic design from the London College of Communication in 2017, Samuel draws his inspiration from the expressionist movement and abstract expressionism, as well as outsider art, which is reflected in his very physical and free way of approaching the canvas.

Preferring acrylic paint for its rapid drying, Samuel adopts a lively and raw technique that allows his works to capture and transfigure observations of the world into almost dreamlike visions.

Samuel Bloch constantly expands the horizons of his artistic expression by actively exploring the links between traditional mediums and integrating new techniques into his practice.
