Small 18th Century Louis XVI Provincial Chest of Drawers

About This Piece

Vintage Design

Small commode of Province, in Marquetry of various woods, of Louis XVI period.

Its top is a Marble with a dominant of White and Grey, with subtle Rose notes. Its rim has been carved with a fine Gorge.

This piece of furniture opens with three rows of drawers, each with two round drawer handles chiseled into laurel wreaths, and a bronze and original lock entrance. All lock and come with their respective keys, which are current.

The second and third drawers are identical by their depth, more important than the first, and by their front decorations, more sober than the first. We will appreciate the same inlays forming frames as those present on the uprights of this chest of drawers or even on its sides.

This piece of furniture rests on four sheathed feet all finished with brass sabots.

The interiors and the back are in Poplar.
