Beautiful Louis XV chest of drawers with a facade in violet wood, stamped A. Criaerd and having the punch of Jurande.
Antoine Criaerd, of Flemish origin, is the dean of a dynasty of Parisian masters during the reign of Louis XV. Installed at the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, its good quality furniture is made with great talent. He works for his famous colleague Pierre Migeon.

This curved dresser opens with three identical drawers. Their facade consists of a beautiful marquetry of Violette wood with the center a developed in eighty, surrounded by a strip of the same essence worked vertically. The whole is surrounded by a wide entourage with tab. In the center, a vertical element is garnished with a nicely chopped bronze entrance, with original lock in operating condition and posterior key.
Each drawer opens with the help of drooping handles, after the time, in gilded bronze and embellished with delicate rosettes.
The funds and sides of the drawers as well as the rear and the marble parquet are in oak.
The entourage of the piece of furniture consists of a profound rosewood.
This dresser of rare quality is provided with slightly rounded uprights, composed of violet wood in chevron and ending with brass hooves, after the time.
The moving sides have a four-legged violet wood marquetry.

At the top, a magnificent royal red marble of Belgium with a pronounced gray shade, highlighting the contours of the dresser, has a throat and a beaks. This marble is after the time.
