This delightful coffee table was designed and manufactured by British cabinet maker g plan in the mid-twentieth century. G plan furniture has been noted for many years for its sound construction and excellent design. G Plan - E. Gomme Ltd was based in High Wycombe, England, a major center of British furniture manufacturing. The company was revered for its range of high-quality sideboards, tables, and other cabinet goods and for pioneering the concept of furniture sets designed and made to match. The popular 'Fresco' coffee table often referred to as an 'Astro' table has a beautiful solid teak frame with an x-shaped based and removable central glass insert. The piece has a beautiful teak grain, warm tones, and rich colors throughout. We have carefully stripped this coffee table and refinished it with a coat of matt lacquer for a durable and lasting finish.
