About This Piece

Vintage Design

A compact and decorative pair of Old Paris cache-pots with turquoise enamel and original gilt bronze mounts, produced c.1835–1850. Hand-painted florals with small bees reflect the light Paris atelier style of the 1840s.
The porcelain sits within characteristic Paris gilt bronze mounts: wide rims with finials, ring handles and tripod paw-and-ball feet. Variations in the painting confirm true hand execution.
