Venetian Chandelier in Murano Glass and White Milk Glass by Briati Giuseppe, 1700s

Chandelier Veneziano 6 lights Murano glass crystal and white milk glass entirely handmade in the furnace by a Master expert glassmaker and his team with special tools of the trade, according to an ancient tradition that has been handed down for centuries in temperatures of up to 1200 / 1300 degrees celsius.

The chandelier will be provided with extra pieces, chain and rose window architraves.

Superb modern version of the first born in Murano chandeliers in the eighteenth century with Joseph Briati as its creator and principal exponent.

In 1737 the Council of Ten of the Most Serene Republic of Venice granted to Briati a twenty-year patent for the production of potash crystal. He was responsible for the creation of this transparent glass, pure gloss close to that boemo but more suitable than the latter to the hot working. It was with this crystal who conceived and began production of the first Venetian chandeliers, said strands, enriched first predominantly of flowers and then develop new figurative and chromatic solutions.
