Vintage Design

A fabulous mid-19th century ebonised and gilt bronzed mounted, button backed velvet sofa. Circa 1860.

The sofa has been fully re-sprung, reupholstered and covered in Designer's Guild teal velvet, with contrasting charcoal velvet buttons to highlight the ebonised finish. The sofa stands on brass and porcelain castors. It is very sturdy with no loose joints and the seating has a firm feel, as it would originally have had.

The inside seat is 133cm wide and 53cm deep. The seat height is 38cm.
