This rare collectible lamp is made from a frosted moulded glass, in Paris, and comes complete with wick and mount cap.
This rare lamp combines the elegance of vintage frosted glass to a useful everyday object.
The Lampe Berger is a functional and attractive accessory which has spanned the years,
acting as a room deodorizer and adding an elegant touch to every home.
Berger burning lamps were first patented in 1898 in Paris and are still produced and sold throughout the world to this day,

Origin of the Lampe Berger. It was in 1898, that the amazing Lampe Berger story started.
In response to a major preoccupation at that time a sepsis in hospitals - Maurice Berger invented a system of diffusion by catalysis.
This revolutionary technology, which purifies the air in enclosed rooms, was soon to be applied for private use and gave birth to the Lampe Berger company.
The little lamp which destroys bad smells saw its apogee during the 1930s: Fragrance provided the dimension of pleasure; the Lampe Berger became a collector’s item.
