This beautiful French standard wardrobe from the 30s is in the style of the Streamline modernity of Art Deco. This style emphasized curvy streamlined shapes.
The wardrobe has 8 large round hooks to hold the clothes. In the middle is a mirror and a small shelf. The wardrobe still impresses with it's beautiful, straight shape.

The wardrobe/coat rack is an original designer classic with increasing value. Aluminium was a new and very modern material at that time. Furniture made of aluminium was more expensive and in greater demand than chrome furniture. As aluminium was used in aircraft construction, among other things, it was associated with progressive modernity.
