Very rare and extraordinary ceramic figurine around 1930: Young graceful dancer, standing upright, balancing on tiptoe, arms stretched out to the sides, hands clasping the red, blue, yellow, and black butterfly wings attached to the brown, translucent, tight-fitting, body-skimming costume, head covered by a matching red cap with a peak reaching low over the forehead. The figure is supported from behind by a bouquet of flowers and is based on a black, rounded, five-sided pedestal that ends in a transverse oval, artist's signature 'Sailer' on the back. Designed by Karl SAILER (1905 - ?), retoucheur and modeller, has created numerous models for Goldscheider as a freelancer.
