Vintage Chair LC4 by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina

The "LC4" resting lounger is one of the most beautiful and sophisticated furniture designs even after almost 100 years. The French architect and furniture designer Charlotte Perrand (1903 - 1999) worked from 1927 in the studio of Le Corbusier and Pierre Jeanneret in Paris. During this time, Perriand was involved in all of Le Corbusier's furniture and interior design projects. In 1928 Charlotte Perriand designed the "LC4", which is often incorrectly referred to as "Corbusier lie". After various manufacturers such as Thonet, Embru, Sissach, or Heidi Weber produced the couch, the Italian company Cassina acquired the sole rights for production in 1964. Our "LC4" lounger is completely in black. It has the placed production number 94000. All components of the furniture have the manufacturer's name. The couch is in a top condition. The foam cushion inside the edition was completely new by a professional upholstered studio from Zurich. The edition is so soft and filled again. Otherwise the leather pad shows no signs of wear and no excessive folding. Hardly any defects on the black powder -coated steel tube frame. The rubber figures are tight. Hardly any signs of wear on the black base. The two rubber -coated metal bars on the base were replaced with original Cassina spare parts. All certificates, as well as the delivery note of the spare parts order and the invoice for the new pillow are available. Length 160cm.
