In 1969/70, the Swedish architect and designer Gilbert Marklund (1933 - 2012) designed a number of sculptural furniture. Marklund used massive, Swedish pine wood and kept using the striking hole. In this series, these two very rare chairs were created, which were manufactured by the Swedish company Furusnickarn. Both chairs were carefully refurbished by a professional restorer. They have some charming signs of wear, but have been cleaned, treated against the wooden forest and freshly painted. Seat height 42cm.
